Fiona Polzin

Fiona Polzin, BA (She/Her/Hers) is a third-year graduate student at the University of St. Thomas for her master's degree in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has experience supporting clients in their treatment and recovery from eating disorders and related anxiety, depression, life transitions, and stress concerns. She also holds certification and previous experience as a yoga teacher and values mind-body practices for stress management and mental health. 

 

Fiona’s approach is warm, empathetic, nonjudgmental, and she seeks to empower her clients to be the author of their own story and explore what truly matters to them. She draws on methods and skills including Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Fiona is trained in a systemic lens to be able to support individuals, couples, and families and is open to working with clients ages 6 and up. She has completed the PSI Certificate Training for the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Fiona is clinically supervised by Amy Engelhard, LMFT.
